Turck Releases Ultrasonic RU50 Eco Sensors for Cost-effective, Reliable Object Detection
Minneapolis, MN (May 30, 2019)
Turck expands its range of ultrasonic sensors with the RU50 Eco series by adding analog variants to the existing switching versions. With a plastic threaded barrel and a sensing range of 500 mm, the sensors are a cost-effective, high-performance detection solution for industrial applications such as tote or container detection, level monitoring, packaging applications and more.
The RU50 Eco sensors use the latest sonic transducer technology for reliable object detection. Teachable switching points and sensing distance ensure users can configure the sensors to detect objects between the sensor and the reference point. Even bad lighting conditions, glossy or reflective surfaces have no influence on the sensor. PNP and NPN switching versions as well as analog 4-20mA and 0-10v are available.
The plastic threaded barrel is made of durable liquid crystal polymer (LCP), and output options include an M12 connector or a 2 m cable. The M12 connector features a translucent Ultem end cap that house an integrated LED to give the user 360-degree visibility of the switch condition. Retro-reflective variants are also available.
